I am told I am either a lyric or going to be a spinto soprano in the future. My problem would be, I have problem singing repertoire that are a tad too light for me, I guess. I sang Despina's aria before for my jury in the beginning of the year, and that was a disaster! I am actually working on "Vissi d'Arte", which I was told is a rather heavy for my voice and also my age (I just turned 21), but I feel more comfortable singing this aria compared to Despina's, even though the High As and Bs are still a challenge for me. Most probably have to retire the Puccini after my competition at the end of the year... =/Mabel Jehanne Soonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08261159215163774120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1167073551749396939.post-80338420696762081922011-05-26T07:01:26.629-07:002011-05-26T07:01:26.629-07:00Very interesting about how the wrong singing can c...Very interesting about how the wrong singing can cause illness.I think I may return to Yoga breathing exercises. Also interesting to find out Caruso was a tight git.analiensaturnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16403752794587823462noreply@blogger.com
